Reflection Questions (Applying the Gospel to Our Lives):

1.  When you come across a passage like today's, are you more inclined to focus on the sins of others than to examine your own heart?  Does this passage convict you of your own sinfulness?

2.     How have you responded to the grace of Jesus Christ, the innocent King who willingly died in the place of guilty sinners like us?

3.     Do you truly acknowledge Jesus as King over your life? Are there areas in which you struggle to submit to His authority?

4.     In what ways do we resemble Pilate (evading responsibility), Jewish leaders (acting out of envy, rivalry), and the crowd (yielding to influence of others)?  How do these same sinful tendencies appear in our lives?

5. Barabbas, a guilty man, was set free, while Jesus, the innocent King, was condemned to die. How does this remarkable exchange point to Christ's substitutionary death for sinners? What does it teach you about your own need for God's grace?

• Saturday Morning Prayer - 8:30 am @ BMMS [Auditorium aka Little Theater]

• Sunday Morning Prayer - 9:45 am @ BMMS [Rm 105]

Prayer Ministry’s Monthly Prayer Topic: Pray for the missionaries that our church is supporting to remain steadfast and bold in their gospel ministry.

• Membership Class (Continues Tue, Nov 3): You can learn about the distinctives of our church and also become an official member of Hope PC. Please sign up with Pastor Joe. It will be via Zoom.

• M3 (Sat, Nov 7 @ 8:30am): Coordinators and Officers, let’s come together to pray and to support one another.

• Women of Hope Fall Tea Party (Sat, Nov 7 @ 12-2:30pm): Come enjoy delicious lunch bites and crafts with Hope sisters at the Shin Residence. RSVP here by Nov 2.

• Thanksgiving Service (Sun, Nov 22): Come prepared to give thanks.  We have a special tradition of giving thanks.

• Koinonia Groups: Please sign up for our community groups. YAG – speak to Elder Richard or Carrie. TAG – please speak to Pastor Joe or Kyle.

• Stage Crew: Media and praise teams are recruiting sound stage crew members to help set up and break down media and praise equipment. If you are interested, please talk to Andrew Han.

• Prayer Meetings (Sat @ 8:30am & Sun @ 10am): Please join us in prayer as we depend on our Heavenly Father to advance His kingdom through Hope PC.
